The SultansTrail in Hungary passes through historical villages such as: Sopron, Köszeg, Sárvár, Sümeg, Keszthely.
One of the Sultans of the Ottoman kingdom, occupied the Serbian capital Belgrade in 1521. In 1526 he defeated the army of King Louis II of Hungary and Bohemian in two hours (!) during the battle at Mohacs. After an 11-years interruption the Sultan decided at the age of 60 to personally lead his army to the west. On the 7th of September 1566 he died near the town of Szigetvar in Hungary.

In Hungary there is a second route following mainly the route Sopron, Köszeg, Sárvár, Sümeg, Keszthely (west of lake Balaton), Szigetvár, Pecs, Mohács and Udvar.
